I meant to the company that assumes ownership of them. Remediation of these sites is not cheap. And if they are off the hook for those expenses you can bet the taxpayers won't be.

The Renfrew area/pump house part of Calgary is in desperate need of remediation too, Albertan Conservative governments have never made it a priority and they are lucky that the oil sands waters flow north and destroy only one indigenous community instead of south.

Renewable energy is a powerful concept and product. I hope the Coalition has a positive relation w energy Corp understanding cleanup is expected expense in an accidental world. Identifying a budget friendly profitable 📈 environmentally + outcome from cleanup is good for Canada and everyone.
