This is why I'm no fun at parties.
This was a feminist fight and they won it and now it's the norm. Even that we have a new norm, parents giving both their last name to their kids. Which is better and nicer in my opinion.

They are trying to roll things back to an explicitly white patriarchy with only property owning white males with that power.
It's extremely reactionary.
I had a sense they would attempt a lot very quickly... But this has been insane.
