My guess is that if someone plagiarizes just a couple of sentences, I often skim through it without noticing.

In this case it's a very cut and dried case. They copied an entire paragraph word for word, cutting out only the reference to a previous section of my paper.
I didn’t treat it as plagiarism, just said I’d done this work, but I would now be much angrier. It ain’t right.
Not sure I would have caught this in an LLM era.
