I'm not a theologist but was raised Calvinist. I don't think it's sacrilegious because they're not saying he embodies the Bible or the word of God. But I think what they're saying has a very strong echo for evangelicals and they probably love it.

The evangelicals don’t see it as sacrilege. They see it as sacrosanct. “The New Apostolic Reformation, which seeks to destroy the secular state.”
Also as a Jew, this doesn’t surprise me in the least. No religion is exempt from corruption or demagoguery, least of all Christianity. I mean—the pope?

Not sure about sacrilege but it's certainly echoing the divine right of kings and the idea that kings were God's chosen emissaries on earth. I guess this is just mapping that idea onto the constitution?

Preacher’s kid here. It’s not technically sacrilegious given that they’re talking about him being an avatar of a secular document, not a religious text. But boy howdy the “Word made flesh” allusion is just a hop skip & jump away from equating Trump to Jesus, which is VERY much a blasphemous heresy.

It's amazing how many people see Trump as being Christ-like when the standard description of the Antichrist could've been written with Trump in mind.

But then, that was kind of the point, wasn't it? Men like Trump show up and wreck things all the time, then as now. Everything old is new again.
