It’s actually generally very difficult to hurt a NY sports fan. Lots of these people have rooted for teams like the Knicks, Jets, Mets, Nets, Islanders, etc. Lots went to Rutgers.

Yeah we do this to ourselves. If this was 10 years ago instead of the Revs, I would have felt so much worse. This cup run actually reinvigorated most of us into believing the team is going to build on this. Which means we’ll get much more playoff heartbreak than losing MLS Cup.

I prefer the trophy that rewards a marathon against the entire league versus the one that you can win with a handful of wins against a few opponents involving PKs. It's undeniable which trophy actually rewards the best team in the league.
