You can count on one hand the number of times a sports franchise in any of the major sports leagues has won 3 consecutive championships.
Yet everyone wants to hate on the Chiefs for being on the cusp of accomplishing something never before done in the NFL and may possibly never happen again. SMH.
Because it's not supposed to be that way. That much dominance, especially after two decades of Tom Brady, took away opportunities from other teams and fan bases that have been waiting far longer for their turn to be happy.
As a Cardinals fan, I’m so tired of hearing 9ers, Steelers and Cowboy fans talking about their back-2-backs dynasties. If the Chiefs do a 3 peat, that will shut them up for good. Plus I can’t imagine hating on Andy Reid.
I remember when I hated the Patriots this much. Of course they were a more talented team like the #Chiefs are now. So mute your TV if you don’t want to hear #bundlerooski any longer because a #3peat will put that ad on blast. #SBLIX
Want to see a team 3-peat in my lifetime--a truly remarkable accomplishment. I like Mahomes. I really like Andy Reid and Spags. If it couldn't be my team, this would be the type of team I could support in that quest.
It also gets people questioning Brady's GOAT status. He never did this.
