My comment was in response to your mentioning Aust as opposed to other countries with low tariffs. I explained why Aust would be considered for a lower tariff than Israel.
Israel dropped its tariffs on US goods, in a show of good faith. Then we still put tariffs on theirs. That takes some serious chutzpah.

US has a trade surplus with Australia. In Jan 2025, Aus had its 1st trade surplus with US in decades.
