It’s such a double standard. I got lasik 4 years ago. An elective medical procedure with real risk. I booked it without an optometrist referral at a random office with decent Google reviews and had the surgery a few weeks after my one initial consult. Sorry to say but abortion is. They also directed the FDA (I think) to waste time and resources re-studying the safety of abortion pills, which have 20+ years of rigorous data to prove their safety.
