If the police and military stand by and watch democracy begin destroyed because they are supposed to protect the president, what hope for the people and the country?
Yes, according to some, it's just "anti-democracy authoritarian conservatism," not fascism, unless they explicitly accept social welfare objectives or possibly wear monocles or riding britches, that sort of thing.
Sorry and agree. As I've gotten older, I think monocles might make a very nice alternative to bifocals say, something one could put on or off easily to read when out and about, plus one can easily register surprise or outrage. But probably not with riding britches or all-black uniforms, that sort.
