Climate scientists have generally sucked at risk assessment and this blind spot could get us all killed. Maybe a bit more panic re the 🐌 pace at which we’re “phasing out” fossil fuels is in order 🤷‍♂️.

Nope. Plenty of them have been calm-mongering based on high level physics based models that don’t factor in weather related and ecological risks. The specifics about when atmospheric heating might become catastrophic matter a lot.

the Science debate. even if Hansen et al are only 10% in the ballpark… bam. but when the debate ever ends it will still years for the IPCC reviewers to rewrite their interesting thesis they provide us with occasionally. which the media will then easily subsume as more ‘Beach Property’ news/hoax.
