I would very much appreciate it if you would end all of your posts on here and twitter with "Anyway, here's (insert random planet/constellation name)" with a picture of said planet/constellation. For the craic like.
I've had a SkyQuest 8" for probably over 15 years now, but it's manual. I enjoy it, but it's probably time to upgrade to a computerized one. I do love my lenses though!
I am in the sense one of my feeds is Astronomy, I followed Astronomy & physics accounts on twitter, and I'm interested in physics and cosmology but I don't stargaze as such as I don't have a telescope.
Oooh, that’s what I bought in the summer. Waiting for a clear sky to use it at night, finally, as it’s been back in its box after I tested it with this solar photo. How long does it usually take to calibrate?
My husband has one on his wish list. He already has 2 Queststars. I’m designing an observatory with a retractable roof. He loves his “toys” and I love to design, create and build things. We both win!
i wish i could afford a telescope. i was hooked when i was in the 7th grade. my teacher took us all on a field trip to his home to look through his telescope. when i saw the rings around saturn i started reading everything i could about the cosmos.
i had a little book on astronomy. it described every planet, etc. the very last page said 'just think.....someday we may even go to the moon.'
LOL yeah, that's how old i am.
I'm sure you were one of the surprisingly few people that watched the Apollo lunar landings as they happened. An annoying amount of people didn't care.
Beautiful🤩. What size telescope? Also, I read that Jupiter will be in opposition in early December. I have a C8, and am hoping to get some good images🤞
I'm an Astro fanatic!
Unfortunately, I live in an area of MASSIVE light pollution and am disabled so I'm limited to viewing from my balcony using either binos or a TT Dobsonian.
Binos have really come into their own in this environment though.
I have a Celestron (Schmidt-Cassegrain) back at my parent's place, birthday gift when I was a kid. It's pretty hard to see anything else than the moon properly because of Heat population. Too much fluctuation in the atmosphere. I managed to see saturn once but kinda blurry sadly.

Everyone knows this is what Mars really looks like
😝😝😝
I bought a loom during the pandemic.
This was the 'Beaver Moon' a couple nights ago
Btw awesome shot, I have the 5SE
Nice shot of Mars!
LOL yeah, that's how old i am.
The amount of stuff people with more money than sense buy, use twice, then get told by the Mrs to sell is crazy 👍🏼
Very newbie question, I know...
I got my own but have never gotten this clean of a picture of mars
That is fantastic!
