In Quebec, Tesla registrations fell by 90% in Q1 compared to the previous quarter. Yes, 90%. Tesla is going completely extinct in Canada and in Europe (but not in the UK, which is saying something about the UK)

That's a meme stock. Don't bother wondering why the stock price isn't reflecting the ground realities. It's a meme stock tied to the antics of the "founder" Elon.
Unfortunately that won't happen because the CEO is giving himself government contracts. This won't do much to save the company financially, but it will drive the price of the stock up due to the belief that it will and he'll sell his shares at a premium before it collapses. Then he'll hide.
I think I read somewhere that the UKs tesla market is particularly backlogged (or was at least) meaning that a lot of the new registrations had actually been ordered up to 6 months earlier and predated the latest political issues.
The cratering of Tesla value appears to have been stimulated by the worldwide rejection of the relationship between its CEO—and largest shareholder—Elon Musk, and the criminal President of the United States, Donald Trump. “And you ain’t seen nuthin’ yit.”
Yea, it's a weird thing we do with measuring for some reason
tbf, 60%+ is still less than the drop in a lot of Europe, but that's because for some reason we've seen a huge increase in electric vehicle sales (like >50% increase or something dumb like that) so Teslas were naturally dragged up as well
Like, when looking at the change in proportion of sales, IIRC Tesla has roughly seen a similar change to, say, France or Germany
It's doing poorly af here, partly because of all the Musk stuff, but it's certainly not helped by the price (Teslas are like 50% pricier for a worse car then, say, a VW)
Tesla's UK car sales dropped 62 per cent in April 2025 compared to April 2024, the lowest in 2+ years. Higher Q1 "sales" were because the UK counts sales differently to EU countries and includes pre-registrations by dealers, not just take-up by customers. Thus the Skum effect was less obvious.
The prices are also to blame. A year ago it was possible to buy a Tesla 3 for 49k$, before the credits. Now the new Tesla Y, which was their flagship is 80k+$. It’s just insane.
All this bad/good news. Hard to understand how the stock is still up so high. Starting to look like skum is manipulating the price from inside wall street computers.
skum will be fine. But he's already shown he doesn't care about Tesla. The whole thing could go under and he'd still have more money than he could ever use to destroy a mildly functional pseudo-democracy.
In England we are wet and obedient as a nation.. and the government pretty much does what it wants, the news justifies it and nobody gets too excited.
It's the government only, that wants to please Trump
Please be assured that the UK is not becoming Trump and today is not questionable. Our Govt isn’t perfect but many good initiatives mean we have a society that we are heading in a very different direction.
Typo fixed.
Please be assured that the UK is not becoming Trump & today is not questionable. Our Govt isn’t perfect but many good initiatives mean we have a fair society & that we are heading in a very different direction. No pardon for Jan6 convicts for example, no self serving drivel from our PM.

We measure based on registrations, not sales, of vehicles
So the backlog that existed was being filled in until recently, where they've now caught up
