As a guy who spent the better part of my adult life in the US military, I've had every vaccine (including a few considered "experimental") for every disease you can imagine and plenty for things you probably can't and wouldn't want to.
Never had an ill effect.

It's good to see one of my all-time favorites again.
But, they don't give it to civilians without cause.

No regrets.
No fucking regrets.
One vax I wish they offered that I had is a Brown Recluse vax! Today has been a month since bitten & I'm not shy to say, it sucks! 😭 Tired of the pain!
After getting some serious vitriol here last night, I was actually considering deleting this platform -- because who needs more of that, right? Major Mastodon vibe. Ugh.
BUT seeing you here and a few others means I'll stick it out. Thanks!
No im not stalking you…just enjoy your no nonsense wisdom!
Blocking works just as well on them as it does on MAGA trolls, though. 🙂
That and my arm usually hurts for a few hours...
Had a severe strep infection before shipping out from basic that made me think it wasn't on the list.
Anti-vaxxers are goddamn fools. So is any nation that would entertain their insanity.

My reply, "But you never balked at getting Hep. A and B did you?"
Shared all your FB posts with him, but he's been missing his favorite warrant officer.
I wish there was some process to find the people you enjoy socializing with across multiple platforms. Especially when that number is in the thousands.
I can't speak on its accuracy, but folks here have been utilizing it.

My theory* is that they're all terrified science will one day develop a vaccine for stupidity and they're lashing out preemptively.
*Based on zero scientific knowledge or training.
The Greatest Generation was able to vaccinate their kids from diseases that routinely killed/maimed their siblings.
My Dad (born in the mid 50s) observed that anecdotally:

Same argument they've had since the 1790s.
Like you, I never had any negative effects.
Didn't know there was a vaccine for it though.
It's the only reason I still travel to the US.
Back in the 80s, they used to line us up in the barracks hallways with the medics in the doorways with the guns.
Walk down the hall and get all of them at once.
Worst side effect was the guys who would flinch and get their arms torn up.
Good times.
Glad to see you here!

Corp I’ve see the effects of populations of unvaccinated citizens.
What I have is confidence traveling internationally knowing that I am protected from contracting it or minimizing from the worst effects of illness.
I’m recommending to all my friends and family members who had their vaccines in the late 1950’s through 1969 to get them done again. I had mine done along with a boatload of others - no ill effects
...I'm glad to find you here !
I guess I should have realized that you would almost HAVE to be here, considering what I know of you from my past on Twitter/x !
The fight for sanity in our country goes on...
None of us has ever had any kind of reactions, other than short-term soreness where the injection was.
That includes all COVID shots !
But I work in a hospital, and so I have a greater chance to get COVID and give it to people (who really can't handle it). So I get every booster. A day of fever and aches is better than someone else leaving in a bag.
