The negotiations between Putin and Trump don't matter anyway if Europe and Ukraine don't have seats. Poland has a physical border with Ukraine.

Neither the US nor Russia are in a position to impose a peace, particularly if Trump expects Europe to supply guarantees and money and for the US to stand aside.
