The aurora forecast is really good again tonight, even for lower latitudes! If you've got clear skies, try to go out and look for it! As someone who's seen the northern lights a half-dozen times in the past two years, here is a little thread of my tips on how to get your best odds of a good show:

1. a three-day forecast based on observations of solar activity
2. a one-hour forecast based on measurements from a probe at L1

Keep in mind that this is all in UTC time, NOT LOCAL TIME, so look up your time difference to plan ahead!
These are more reliable than the 3-day forecast because they're based on detections from a space probe at L1.
That's a static URL that will always load the latest short-term forecast.
