Only problem with Grants is that the tube is not recyclable through your kerbside bin, whereas Colgate & OralB tubes are. I've recently discovered toothpaste tablets which come in glass jars or paper bags, from health food shops. Bit pricey tho.
That’s great to know, Allan. I will now go to my shopping app and favourite that for next time I need toothpaste. My brain is too addled with chronic illness and medications to remember things well. We have many different memory tools these days. Lisa now uses them. 🥴
I was getting a subscription box for a couple of years, retreat yourself, & I just looked at the product cards I kept; grants toothpaste was in a box! They feature all Aussie made & produced products. Currently got one of them on my face trying to make myself glow & look less shit. 🤭 #SupportLocal
It shouldn’t be that hard should it?! It’s the blue one, It’s always bottom left, often have to get down on hands and knees to fish one out from under the shelf. They don’t really want you to buy it because it’s the best value and IMHO, the best formula.
You might be giving your age away. Remember the days before marketing executives convinced themselves to proliferate the crap out of a category, mainly to take more shelf space. Retailers should tell the manufacturers “you have 30cm - you decide how to use it”.
I am increasingly annoyed with the abundance of choice for stuff where it doesn't matter much. For example, why does my local supermarket stock, at the last count, 15 different varieties of vanilla essence, but no longer carries orange, strawberry or peppermint cake flavouring as they once did?
OMG For real! We have three tubes of The Same Stuff kicking around on our sink because it doesn't taste "right" even though it's packaged like the stuff from the late 80's. I can't even get the "normal" one when I take the box in with me because they re-brand so often 🙄🤨
We often go for the "Colgate toothpaste with extra unnecessary product title changes so we can take up more shelf space & prevent rival brands from getting noticed by customers". I hear it won't be on special this month too.
Has anyone else noticed that the value in "value packs" isn't as valuable as it used to be? The individual is $3.45 and the 3 pack is $10 shown here. You only save 35c
I've never seen it; via pharmacies? Listerine is made in Thailand too. I just find it remarkable that they seem to have cornered the tooth care market.
Exactly! And to think that for(How many?)years nobody ever told us "it contains Micro-Plastics" !
If I'd have known I was eating plastic I would never have used it
But what about the ‘ring of confidence’ for young women in 60s 70s . Ya needed it to snag a bloke because no one, not even your best friend, would tell you your breath was foul.
Dear Cathy. You don't want "normel" toothpaste, as that contains fluoride, which disrupts our nitric oxide (NO) cycle. NO is essential for cardiovascular health and nerve function. The people who discovered the NO cycle won the Nobel prize in 1997, so it's true.
Yes! This.
Shopping when there are too many choices gives me anxiety.
We just wanted toothpaste that worked. This Aussie made one is usually tucked away on the bottom shelf. It comes in 2 varieties - with or without fluoride.
*Highly recommended.

Free market hey? Competition for competive pricing... wow, just everywhere..
If I'd have known I was eating plastic I would never have used it
Flouride is only a problem if exposure is EXCESSIVE.
You can't get excessive doses of flouride from toothpaste unless you're eating heaps of the stuff with every meal.
