Interesting that it doesn’t seem to include data points from the first Russian Antarctic expedition which sighted the Antarctica coast at several locations more than a decade? earlier.

At about the same time two other expeditions saw other parts of Antarctica.
Not sure if all the data was shared or maybe no one knew which data points to trust.
