Implants, shaving, and other common things like that can fall within the current curtain of "gender affirming" but cis folks do those all the time? Why is it gender affirming when it's a trans folk? Because it's affirming a self image, not gender.

For transsexuals, it’s sex affirming care; we affirm our natal brain sex, simple as that. And ‘true transsexual’ is not a bad word, some are biologically transsexual and born that way, others are born cissexuals, but chooses for whatever reason to transition their phenotypic sex. Both valid.

True, denying "affirmative care" sounds far less awful than denying us "healthcare". It enables them to position our surgeries as "mutilations" for trivial/vain purposes. A prime example is trans M&M top surgery as "little girls easily led by friends/trends".
I'm a trans man & my surgery was crucial
