1. Stephen Miller took to the presidential podium in the White House Press Room to celebrate Trump's first 100 days.

When he did so, he promoted new pushes to indoctrinate kids on how to be "patriots," including apparently being anti-trans.

And people seem to forget that Republicans wanted to push the, “name on license needs to match your birth certificate to vote!” bill to prevent trans people from voting, but because married people who changed their surnames got caught in the fire, they chose to make the issue about them instead.

Being openly trans is an act of freedom and a negation of the justifications patriarchy. Not just being a trans woman, either. Being a trans man or nonbinary are also complete negations of the justifications for patriarchy. Being gay also is. That's why trans rights and gay rights are the same fight

I had an amazing history and civics teacher back in high school, and one of the lessons he drilled into my head is that fascism always needs some form of minority to scapegoat, because that is how they recruit people.

I guess that's why I never fell for any of this.

There's a glee in the anti-trans discourse and activities now, and I'm sure lots of it is because *finally* people have a group that they can abuse and 'other' with close to full-throated approval and support from society.

Depressingly, it feels like the entry level to hate and abuse of minorities.

Being part of the Nazi party was all about workers right until it wasn't. They were all about "fixing the economy" until they started blaming everyone who wasn't like them. Nazism was literally founded on anti-DEI. Said it made the country weak. and they wanted to "make Germany great again".

Yes and no, you have to be pro-trans to be anti-fascist. They can't be separated. Trans issues are a core part of being fascist because everything "non-normal" is part of that issue. The core part, though, is about having the larger (in) group reject human rights for selective groups like trans.

So make a very large group willing to reject human rights for every group that deviates from the "normal". Human rights of course, are not selective, but the "in-group" believes their rights remain preserved. Trans rights are the rights being used to gain this goal. Once given up it will domino fast
