Raw egg and soy sauce. It turns it into a porridge. My Japanese mom gave this to me when I was a toddler as my first solid food. I've liked it ever since. You can get fancy and sprinkle dried bonito flakes on top.
Used to make seafood jambalaya with rice on the side, for those who didn't like it. One regular guest, Tim, always asked for more rice. Years later he told me that he hated rice, had asked for more so there would be less to look at, and he'd spoon it off his plate under the flagstones of the patio.
