We need to remember that most people don’t actually experience “immigration”. They experience housing shortages, unemployment, NHS waiting lists and so on which they have been told (incorrectly) are caused by immigration.

White paper was due to be published mid May. The rules on students referred to is because asylum apps from people here with a valid visa is now 40k p.a of those 16K are from those on student visas, this may be an abuse of asylum rules. Remember the fake colleges set up to avoid asylum🤷‍♀️

I totally agree with you Nadia! I would add that there are other aspects where we risk losing our core voters. I'm thinking especislly support for the trans community (and generally the wider LGBTQ+ community) and the right to protest. We must change course.

My ex-partner who was trans saw this coming at the beginning of the year and took her own life, and as awful as I feel I'm glad that she didn't live to see how disgusting the climate has become around our existence.

The asylum system is set up to give protection to those at risk of war/persecution and we absolutely must do that. The people being currently being deported have a failed asylum claim and exhausted the appeals procedure + foreign criminals. Why is that wrong?

Yes I agree with you, but often what they are reported as saying has been taken out of context or twisted to sound worse than was said. Laura Kuessenberg does this quite often not just on immigration. Again it is about communication and labour really aren’t very good at it.
