My hot take on the Ofsted stuff is that, if you had a well-funded system with lots of extra people, it would help drive school improvement (and *could* reduce stress).

There’s been huge pressure for Ofsted to change quickly.
And there’s a curriculum review happening in parallel.
They either had to move quickly (as they have) or they’d have had to wait for the curriculum stuff to pass…
Politicians *never* understand how huge a curriculum change is for schools.
