Went to the 2003 photo archive and found these from SW Fort Collins. Record snowfall for FOCO. 32.2 inches snowfall with an SWE of 4.9 inches.

That event is by far the big snowstorm up here in FOCO. The kids went back to school for one day after Spring Break. Then it snowed and they were out for the rest of the week. Everyone was stranded at home for several days. Medical staff even needed snowmobiles to get to/from the local hospital.

I was snowed in with an abusive jerk of a boyfriend.

I spent most of the time playing with his roomie’s guinea pigs, and he was NOT happy about the “snub.”

I was a sophomore in high school. The blizzard cancelled school for the entire week, and then the next week was spring break. It was amazing. I remember it being 75 degrees the week after and I laid out to sunbathe in my driveway, surrounded by massive towers of shoveled snow.

I was at CSU atmos in Ft Collins back then. My favorite memory was snowshoeing down the middle of Elizabeth Ave. as the last snowflakes fell. (Elizabeth was usually a busy thoroughfare near campus.)

I was on the last flight allowed to land. Customs was easy. Getting home, not so much. So many jackknifed semis on the road. To this day I'm surprised we made it.

We spent 2 days cleaning out of driveway. Then spent a day digging out family. It was over our 3 ft fence. What was crazy is I think it rained the entire day before it started snowing and then snowed non stop for 2 days

I had moved to Virginia at the time, but my brother was still in Colorado. He was so bored being snowed in, he shoveled all the neighbors' driveways, AND he called me for the first and only time in the five years I lived away.
