I am still loving my BigAgnes FlyCreek Ul1, it is in rough shape but it still serves me well high in the alpine. Used and abused years of happy trails.

Dan Durston is from where I live & knowing him I really want to support him, the new XMid1 Pro looks amazing. But between my either MSR HubbaNx solo or BA FkyCreek UL1 I would only be saving 1/2 lb weight. Plus I spend most time in alpine and freestanding is better setup option to pole tent

I've heard nothing but enthusiastic praise for his designs - so cool that you know him! I love my Zpacks 1-person but I need to get a freestanding tent, just in case I go somewhere that's not ideal for trekking pole tents.

X dome looks to be the way to go. I bought one, super light, easy to set up and with the fly first pitch, it really is nice.

I completely agree Paul and it will be what I replace my MSR NX Solo with when it dies. The sad/good part is that my MSR has stood up to the last 7 years of alpine abuse like a champ and still look new. Do you have any photos of yours from your last trip?
