Leviticus 19:34 (NIV)
“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
there are so many lovely verses like this abt foreigners in the bible, it's a shame they don't read it :c
I wonder what their take on Jesus’ stay in Egypt as a child refugee is. Should have deported his illegal ass back to Judaea to be murdered by Herod, right? 🤷🏻
I hate the fact that this looks like a comedy sketch in a cartoon where the villains are obnoxiously and comedically evil! Like "Mass deportation now" seems like something you would see on the signs that the Scarecrow would be holding at his Crane's Evil Speech™ that he is the host of.
"And I saw a beast rising... blasphemous names on its heads... And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast." - Rev. 13
Took many years to figure out what I didn’t like about the people in my hometown who strongly claimed to be “Christian” and it’s become evident over the past decade or so of my life.
Some of them think they're still going to Heaven no matter how badly they treat “the least among us.”
However, following Jesus clearly means following his teachings, since we have no physical Jesus to follow around.
You think Jesus wants to hang out with a bunch of privileged racists? Not likely.
