Without disclosing where I work the job we're hiring for is pretty sexy so we can be picky. I'm literally just looking for someone who either has been trained well or shows an inkling of a preponderance of interest in the topic beyond making money or it being their day job and I'm running dry.

It’s a job. The applicants don’t care about it as much as you do. Scrap the bs requirement and look for someone who is at or approaching completely autonomous IC at that yoe range.
