I would suggest that legally enforceable requirements str a waste of time. Consider sewage and energy price gouging, no action taken.
If only we were in some kind of single market that wouldn't allow that. 🤔
There's a reason KFC couldn't meet their pledge - boycott the entire industry.
I don't think any of the supermarkets who sell corpses from these places will stop either. The demand from the public is there, so it will continue.

I was informed, in the 90s, that I shouldn't consume veggie burgers from this business as they're cooked in the same fat as the chicken.
Profit always seems to trump good business practices.

Reading the replies, yes it has changed. No longer crispy but soft and oily.
It used to stay crispy.
It also highlights the poultry industry.
Their lack of responsibility, gearing more towards profit.
That's just KFC
Three quarters of a billion killed annually in Australia.
We can have the ones that grow big real quick or the kind that need extra loving care, take three times longer to grow, using more food, more resources, more space.
Or have a salad.
