UK govt wrong to deny pension compensation to the 1950s women.
Ombudsman urged apology and compensation. Govt apologized but no compensation.
No point of an independent report if recommendations ignored.
Govt that funds foreign wars can fund justice.

And it's gone TOO far.
-Waspi women pensions
-Water and drainage failure
-Brexit
-Freeports
-Democratic reform
All big reputation setting opportunities to show modern socialism?
Instead they continue Tory madness!
However, some women are absolutely poverty-stricken by this.
Blanket compensation is not a good use of money, but some targeted help would be...
I am so very cross - will never vote Labour again
The idea that the increase in pension age came as a surprise to anyone with an interest in their future is frankly difficult to believe.
..and if you think we should stop supporting Ukraine resist Russian aggression...
IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE kier!
Shutting down tax havens would pay for everything else 10x over ffs
He cancelled the heating allowance that would have benefited older people, and now cancelled the compensation he promised to pay.
He also doesn't show a flicker of emotion.
Memories are fallible, but I remember equality of retirement ages being debated, & I recall the lack of surprise when it was equilised at 65 rather than 60 or 62
£10bn, which service would you suggest isn't funded instead?
Your reference to 'government' is disingenuous, and you know it!
Daily payment = £361
30 × £361 = £10,830/DAY = £54,150/WEEK
Plenty of examples of that, for example my kids student loan rates went up without any communication, should they be compensated too. Should everybody always be compensated or should people take responsibility for their own lives and not expect the government to be a nanny.
Self employed 35 years, I read all letters from HMRC &/or DWP. A govt department is a trusted source & letters are a simple communication.
The UK and the rest of post covid world certainly not ideal
Deliberate Tory sabotage with no thought for British citizens, left the Labour government with no money and an IOU
A windfall payment to pensioners many of whom are wealthy, comes at the back of the queue
The people who aren't economically inactive deserve a break
It's the fact that it is compensation out of money Labour don't have which is the issue
The fact the Courts backed an 'it's not fair' argument, doesn't mean the government has the money
Other citizens don't get a publicly funded triple-lock increase
Why could the Tories find the money to give away 2 tax cuts before the election and not use the 'spare' money to gift a windfall to their pensioners?
What was more important, screwing the country's finances for Labour or serving the country?
The money, if it was ever there, has gone
1. Post office victims
2. Blood scandal victims
3. Waspi group
Although it is interesting that so many who think they're "left" want a return of the Tories.

#EndFrozenPensions
Stop punishing pensioners for retiring in some countries but not every country.
Its a disgusting Injustice!
They apparently still believe Mandleson's dictum that people who want a decent society to live in have "nowhere else to go"
