Royal Mail hikes prices again
From 7 April 2025: Ist class, postage £1.70; 2nd class, 87p.
When privatised in 2013: 1st class 60p; 2nd class 50p.
Massive price hike since privatisation.
RM doesn't meet any of its letter delivery targets, but still allowed to hike prices.
RIP Royal Mail.

Isn't that a misnomer?
I lost £50 - Royal Mail offered me to fill in some paper for a 10 to £20 potential refund.
I have never used Royal Mail since.
Any time now the Royal Mail could announce the end of letter deliveries, as now in Denmark.
Those of us who handwrite letters will be willing to pay the price to keep the service.

The logic that raises prices increases volume doesn’t work.
