Also, do NOT crop/obscure stuff using a social media app. There is no guarantee it's a destructive process or if the original gets saved to whatever site you are uploading to.

If you want to get fancy, I like Share X on windows and Flameshot on Linux. Both have easy to use image editors that will crop, pixelate, etc.
With enough work, could you clean it up and reconstruct the stuff I pixelated? Maybe. But the harder you make it the less likely they are to try.
(Or cropped screenshot, acknowledging that things like your battery percentage could potentially be extracted by someone who cared.)
