They existed all through my childhood and into my teens.
They got rid of them (replaced them with cherry) in the mid-80s sometime I think. They were an original flavor that existed when Starburst were first introduced in the 70s.
I have no idea, but this is exactly why I give these to students for good work in my classroom...because if I time it just right, they can't open them until they're in someone ELSE'S classroom, and then the sugar fallout isn't my problem. 😈
And the candy I has poison in it Starburst candies in the UK do not contain any artificial colours or flavours. However, they do contain titanium dioxide, an additive that could damage DNA and lead to cancer.
🤣 stop eating that shit anyway tho, TP!!
That wrapper is so tight cuz it’s the Lord tryin’ to tell ya something! 😂 Sugar = the road to disease & slow more painful death.
I know, I kno, maybe just a bit every now&then if U can’t get offrefined stuff anyway, but still… just out here lookin out for ya!
To ensure no contamination while handling it! You don.t want the item inside to be exposed to the element since it will cause contamination. My opinion. Lol
It's probably an adhesive coating similar to Postit Notes. That adhesive was an accident. I used to work with the chemist who found it by accident when a reaction didn't go as planned. He took the substance to his boss who gave it to marketing and 3M made a fortune on it.
It's the coating on the paper. A long time ago, I used to work in a paper coating lab and we would do qualty control on the coatings. One was for Tampon unsertion tubes. The test was to lick the coating to see how 'slick' it was.

I have adapted by just chewing through all of it. It saves me a tremendous amount of time.
I also eat the skins of my apples and potatoes. I fear no wax or rind.

I always gave away the Strawberry at the time.
If it is impossible to unwrap, it probably means it is not good for you. 😁
