In Ray Bradbury’s novel Fahrenheit 451 there were people who became books to preserve them from biblioclasm, name a book that you would become. Catch: no repeats! Earliest timestamp claims the text. I call the Silmarillion!

I've been thinking about "Guards! Guards!" a lot lately, because it's National Library Week here in the US, and because federal funding of libraries may be cut.
Here's my favorite passage about L-space. Pterry did not actually use that term here. But still.
On second thought, I’m not keen on being called “Dumb Ass” since many don’t understand how the French like to hide the last sounds in words and would butcher Dumas.
I'm always stunned by how many people don't know and LOVE this kids book...
it has a castle!
And prince and princess!
And a dragon!
And a paper bag dress 💃
And we learn that Ronald sucks 🤷♀️
Honestly, I’m going to have to say some sort of smutty historical romance novel, complete with Fabio cover. They won’t let me burn because the women read me in “secret”.
I was going to say The Lottery, but it's too bleak for me just now. Instead, I'll opt for A Snowy Day, which came up in another thread this evening. We will always need the joy of a child's snow angel and mama with warm dry clothes.
To Kill a Mockingbird.
I recently tried to explain this concept and pose the question to my teenagers. I was ineffective and did very answers. 😆 I'll try again after they read the book.

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (nonfiction)
alright well I’d be the backup Silmarillion 😂
