America's always treated it's veterans poorly. Poor people go to war so rich people can keep their money. They have never given a fuck about veterans and they never will

It doesn't take any guts to send someone to war. Soldiers/sailors/Marines are the ones fighting and risking their lives, not the ones who sent them who are generally greedy pussies.

I always believed that someone not willing to fight with his people has no right leading them. This belief shaped my growth, and now it puts me diametrically opposed to the country i once served's leadership
This is the major thing that told me when I was young to never sign up for military service. I grew up with "Nam" vets who were treated like garbage and it's never gotten any better. I've always said,"I'll serve when the people who voted for war serve beside me.
