My shitty router actually got a useful feature now... A sheduled restart, it took them 2 yeara to add it, and I can now do ONE restart WEEKLY.
My bad decisions meant that I managed to grab the one model of theirs that doesn't have an openWRT build

I do agree with the "do it during peak time". I know it's not best practice but they would appreciate you more. Could also sell it as a problem and you magically fixed it...
