I have talked to people who make $100,000 a year, and fight for the billionaires because they think they are close in status.
No, friend. Not in the least. You’re much, much closer to being bankrupt than you are to being a billionaire. When they speak of the wealthy, they’re not speaking of you.

I heard something that is eye opening, but food for thought: do you know the price of eggs? Do you drive your own car? What is your favorite airline?
If you can answer any of the above, you’re not 1%.
I dunno how Missou does it.
Make $100K per year, have one major health event, and you will discover exactly how close to zero you are.
Smart people will change in light of new facts, stupid people don’t.
We are ALL labor.

One MILLION seconds is equal to 11.5 days.
One BILLION seconds is equal to 31 years & 8 months.
I’m amazed by this every time… on so many levels.
100K to 100B is 0.001%
10k to 100k is 10%
100K is so much closer to poverty.
Non complete etc. These people don't get that employees are expensive and expendable
It seems to make it REAL for people who think they’re healthy and won’t get sick. But they can imagine an accident happening to anyone.

Finally one day, I just blurted out, "Oh I didn't realize you were also a billionaire, you hide it well"
(her claim that the wealthy create jobs was the last straw)
They’re opening a lot of tech companies in AZ and around 41% is overseas. Now bring in the H-1B visas.
Also, people are waiting on non taxable overtime.
Love your post.
A lot of these folks who make 100k live paycheck to paycheck. With the “But look at all my stuff” mentality!!
What they will do? Cost them more money, make our communities less safe and make us vulnerable to foreign attacks.
In a similar vein,I sometimes wonder if minimum wage is the political winner a lot of Dems think it is. People might report to a pollster that they’re for raising it, but in reality, they seems themselves as “better” than min wage earners, & …
I wonder if expanding union access is a more powerful message
The problem is the top 1% of the top 1%, they clearly want to own everything, and when they further turn on the bottom 99% of the top 1% is when it gets interesting…
While the average family home is 5 times the average annual Gross salary/Wage

I wish more people had the same mentality.
Defending him/them speaks VOLUMES to their stupidity.
An average year they are making a lifetimes worth of wages several times over.... All while paying a lower percentage of taxes

“Them:” 1,000,000,000
See the difference now?
Shun healthcare
Shun public schools
Shun unions
Shun science
Love/worship tyrants, fascist, and billionaires.
Until then, anyone with a good job, is pressed to side with the stock market... which is the Billionaires.
They are in for the worst awakening.
That might give them a little perspective.
Personally, I can't believe how much money I have to make to still not have money.
100,000 is only 0.01 % of 1 billion, btw.
