There are no “moderate” voters. There are Trump voters who make excuses for their vote by saying that Democrats are too far left.
The most unfortunate byproduct of this phenomenon lies in the Democratic strategists and pollsters and candidates chasing nonexistent “moderate” voters.

It's the party's responsibility to attract voters with their policies that win more votes, they didn't, and lost!
So then, what made 6 million voters stay home after voting for Biden in 2020??
Trump didn't get them...

There's no policy or vision for the country involved in any of it and the mind set of voters doesn't extend beyond who won the election.
Also, I don't want to increase the chance of my vote being discarded uncounted.
They want to revive the Clinton years, and here we are going through the first quarter of the 21st century.
The are not very left, and if you think they represent the left, your concept centrism is right of center.
The DNC courts leftist demands for votes and delivers minimums to maintain the status quo.
Demand the DNC act progressive if it’s the left.
Moderate voters are not the problem. We know who the problem is. The people that don't vote are part of the solution.
Only 174 million are registered.
156 million voted in November 2024 - roughly 64% of the eligible.
So "i don't care - don't want either of them" won.
Note - the registered but did not vote number was only 18 million.
I think it is "I can't take off work/my voting precinct is too far(voter suppression)"
"I don't have time to vote"
"My vote will not make a difference"
"The President does not affect me"
Etc. Etc.
In both ‘20 and ‘24, my ballot went straight Democrat. No GOP candidate at any level will ever get my vote unless and until MAGA is thoroughly repudiated and purged from our system.
It's time.
It's got to be time.
There are types, though. One is a right-winger afraid to admit it. Another has liberal views who is also afraid to admit it. It's strange.
This being a capitalist society, with individualism heavily pushed ahead of community and public service, voters tend to be center right.
Democrats used to represent the working class, blacks, immigrants...
Magas still expect some miracle, until they lose their farms, jobs, and healthcare. Will that make them turn against dementia don is hard to say.
Dems don't know how to use this moment, how to offer alternatives, how to call...
The dismantling of the government is P 2025, which Dems haven't even started to address consistently.
The GOP kept the abortion issue front and center until women lost their rights as human sentient beings.
But then they’d actually have to DO SOMETHING for the people…
Dems need to stop equivocating. Human rights are for everyone. Get on the bus or get run over.
For example, when Covid hit, everyone was making masks. It was like the Victory Gardens of WWII.
Then Trump and Fox said masks were bullshit.
Hundreds died in that small county.
Instead, listen to Abe Lincoln. Note the word “molds”, not “measures”,
“public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it, nothing can succeed. Whoever MOLDS public sentiment goes deeper than
You don’t “mold” public sentiment by taking polls.
Sorting this seems important to strategy.

If your vote is an endorsement of a candidate and you know that candidate is an actual criminal, but votes your way then his way IS your way.

That said, the GOP has spun out so far to the right that I look far left.
Sigh.
I’m truly trying to open a dialogue not be judgy or cunty. If I come off that way I apologize
And yes, we would pay higher taxes. But we would paying less than what we pay now directly or indirectly.
So when I say “how are we going to pay for it?” I mean let’s find a way to pay for doing the right thing for all our people.
It's
Either
One
Or
The
Other
Right now the Democrats need to get themselves united and messaging every day
Those people who say "both sides suck" don't go for the moderate candidate. They go for the anti establishment candidate.
If the DNC would go ahead and pay me 6 figures for this razor sharp political insight I'd appreciate it.
Low information voters don't get into the weeds about how the parties suck in different ways. Instead it's "well the Dems/GOP did X and are just as bad" which is often an incomplete picture and then vote anti-establishment.
Incomplete picture.
The road is bullshit that barely works at best and loses everywhere on average. Trump said FU to the middle. Why do we think we still have to cling to a no
longer existing model?
The reality is if you live in half a dozen states your vote counts right now; the rest of us are window dressing.
