The "democratizing" effect of the widespread digitization of archives has been too little a part of the "law office history" conversation. Knowing how to read and use historical sources in context takes time, care, and practice, not just a laptop and a dream.

I am calling for a total & complete shutdown of all Ctrl-F searchable historical databases in the United States until our country’s historians can figure out if these so-called “originalists” actually _read_ any sources written in America anytime between 1776-1791 and 1865-1868.
