My mom, 94, lives upstate CT. She grew up in Brooklyn, loved "the city." My parents lived mid-town Manhattan in their 60s & almost retired there. She'd have been for this 30 yrs ago. She'll probably never set foot again, but she's against congestion pricing now. She watches Fox. Explains everything.
Hey idiot elected Dems, have you learned nothing from history? The party that shuts down the gov over the budget LOSES THE MIDTERMS! Work with the Repubs to get whatever you can. Also, flapping your lips gets you nothing, the reason Trump is so popular right now is he is physically doing things.
When the congestion charge was introduced in London, people in the affluent areas of west London (e.g. Notting Hill, Barnes) could enjoy driving their Porsches to their workplaces in East London (square mile, Canary Wharf) and not take any longer than on the tube. They *loved* it. A steal!
Paul, plz create financial breakdown of DOGE ..
1: Total number of fed employees layoffs
2: Federal deficit impacted
3: What new efficiencies are expected
4: Employees morale now and it’s impact on their workload
5: DOGE impact on the dollar
Trump may lose NY city, but that was always going to be the case. The rest of the state dislikes congestion pricing, and he will (no pun intended) make inroads there.
He is constantly trying to build support. Next up, sending taxpayers checks signed by him.
Not to mention, Trump cares not one whit because he sails through traffic, but the cost is millions of our dollars, not $9 paid by the one who receives the benefit.
Racist/anti-Semitic scum outside NYC who never visit the city will support Trump's stupidity. People will pay more to live in a less polluted place. Trump is screwing NYC and NYS tax base by lowering property values by killing congestion pricing. Trump stole from NYC. https://gothamist.com/news/trump-organization-guilty-of-17-felonies-manhattan-jury-finds
I used to live in Tribeca. I hated the traffic and the smog on Hudson Street as drivers waited to go through the Holland Tunnel. Cleaner air and less accidents with congestion pricing (doesn't the pro-life crowd understand that pregnant women are being protected).
To be fair to the other side of the argument, is there any evidence that people are avoiding the city, hurting from local businesses? My instinct is that more people just use public transport, but do the numbers support that?

He's a petty, insecure, traitorous small man.
He is constantly trying to build support. Next up, sending taxpayers checks signed by him.
