Isn't this the same idiot that broke our "nuclear deal" with Iran and ended up with them probably having nukes and destabilizing the region in the process?
When ahead in pieces in chess, you aim for equal exchanges. The proportional advantage you had, then gets bigger. *IF* all nuclear weapons were eliminated, the strength of US forces would be even more dominant. Does he think Putin can't work that out? 1/3
Perhaps UK and France would go along with elimination if convinced the other major parties would do so, but India? Pakistan? And especially Israel? N.Korea? 3/3
PS If “You could destroy the world 50 times over, 100 times over" expenditure could be dramatically reduced immediately while still retaining more than sufficient numbers for deterrence, before even starting negotiation.
USA currently spends more on defense than the next 9 biggest spenders, 7 of whom are (or were) allies, only a magaturd will think that the Monkey is going to get Putin and Xi to cut their spending...anyway the Monkey hasn't cleared it with his Boss os it's just the ramblings of a dementia patient
The reason Europe is not part of that talk is because we do not protect ourselves. We should start our own nuclear project, to protect our free countries.
Is Trump on his meds? I would be forced to give Trump mad props if he actually does this, but every other indication is that he will continue neo-con foreign policy.
Sounds like the setup to a joke: There were three dictators in a room; an American, a Russian and a Chinese…the American, a pathological liar says: “Trust me”…
They both have way too many and know it. It's likely Russia would prefer to reduce theirs as well. They can both still destroy the planet with 1000 instead of the 5000+ they both have
In previous arms control treaties there was verification and both countries know they have way too many. This is actually a good thing, the fewer nukes the better.
We already tried deals with Russia and China. It did not go well. They are unreliable at best and often openly malicious towards us. Under such conditions, bargaining (appeasement) results only in creating opportunity for covert acts. The Oompa Loompa in Chief is a national security liability.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣- Russia & China are unreliable -🤣🤣...you may just want to try taking a look in the mirror..No.1 in the Unreliablity charts between 20.01.17 & 20.01.21 and again since 20.01.25 is USA....looking set to hold the top slot for another 4yrs at least
Maybe it’s Trumpians' strategy, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". But Russia and China were once seen as threats to democracy, and now he’s pushing allies away while cozying up to them. Reducing weapons is good, but trust isn't exactly very high at the moment. #WhoControlsTrump
I can’t understand why the US are inflating the importance of Russia in this way. Russia is the 11th biggest economy and severely strained after their reckless and mis-managed attack on Ukraine. Sure, they have all those nukes. But don’t treat them as an economic powerhouse - bc they’re not.
Yeah if we had continued to support Ukraine I think Russia would have finished themselves off. So disappointed because I would like to see Russia hit the point of breaking free of tyranny…
He's right for once. This is his best proposal so far.
Too many "China bad, Russian bad" comments here from years of US war propaganda targeting Americans. The number of nuclear arms is ridiculously out of line with anything reasonable. A huge reduction would benefit everyone, but mostly the USA.

Do I believe it for a second? No.
Why? 3 reasons: Putin, Trump, China.
Also Republicans: They’ll totally disarm, we have their word
Its like that nonsense meeting with N Korea.

Keep up
There fixed the headline
fining bad actors would be a huge cost saving
China and Russia are less trustworthy and more cunning.
See the problem?
That pretty much applies to all military spending, although you have to trust the other side not to spend it either.

I'm sure he's just going to accept China and Russia's assurance that they've made massive cuts to their budgets.
Do you have a lot of Lockheed Martin stock?
