I was living in Chicago in 99 and saw the song live half a dozen times before the album came out. I liked the original uptempo pre-Apbum live Kamera WAY better than the album version, too.
Yes. Love Wilco. Have seen them live a few times. Saw Jeff Tweedy live solo acoustic. And of course the movie "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" Just heard today they have released new music.
This song is surprisingly personal to me. I grew up in Fort Wayne and when I was in my early 20’s I used to hang out on the landing (a district in Ft Wayne) and see music. It’s like a perfect memory of that part of my life.
@raskin.house.gov Please start a class action suit against Trump as you described on The Weekend! Millions of us are waiting for a leader and event that will bring us together in force. This would generate huge energy and could be a beginning of the end - our SOLIDARITY! Please be our Lech Walesa!
Ummmm.....first rock star I saw live was Jerry Lee Lewis in '62 on Dreux Air Force Base, France in the enlisted man's bar. I was 12. That old enough? Cold War
Was an Uncle Tupelo fan before the split and formations of Wilco and Son Volt. Saw both bands on their first European tours as an excited 20yo and had a long chat with various members of Wilco after their first Oslo show at Cruise Cafe.
That's exactly how old I am 😄
I'm so old I was actually in some of the St Louis bars "on the Landing in the summer" Tweedy sings about. At least I think I was. The early 90s are a bit blurry...

I was a sophomore in college when this came out. Gives me nostalgic feelings, especially Ashes of American Flags.
This record changed my life, as did this band.

Absolute classic. One of the best pieces of music in the last 100 years.
That's exactly how old I am 😄
