I know no one cares but for some reason I feel like saying that I liked the Kendrick Lamar halftime show—instantly, unreservedly—and was totally mystified when I went online and found out that many didn't like it
Serious question: did my fellow Blueskies not like it also? Split opinion? Share mine?

~ not everything should be spoon fed or plain jane
It was made for the 127 million watching it from TV not the .04% of viewers at the stadium, and the orange man who was incessantly booed and flipped off
But it really is my age, I’m a Beatles Grateful Dead Dylan person 🙂
This is not a put-on, you all have really made me feel better about all this
Kenny doesn’t waste opportunities like that! 💙
Black people are used to this hype + frankly, white people are too
Tradition.

BUT this is a signal!!
Sounds you are in an echo chamber
Maybe clear your cookies and engage with disparate voices so your not served the same messaging
I loved the show. I read & heard from lots of folks who did, too. The most common word I heard: JOY.
Every decent person should leave propaganda ran platforms like TikTok, X, Instagram and Facebook. They support Trump
I was SO disappointed that they took nothing away from it. Not a thing.
The fact that they haven’t listened to new music since Cat Stevens should have been my clue. 🤣
But now I’d like to read Lamar’s lyrics. I wonder if they are printed on the internet.
It was all so PACKED with symbolism too, but I can see why some didn’t like being reminded of the debt we owe black folks
I liked some aspects of it, but could have done without it.
The dancers seemed very exaggerated and jerky.
5 out of 10 stars
I can imagine the preference for a more show-y show, but I actually loved it. I don't think Kendrick changed outfits even once during the show, which might be unusual for the headliner.
But yeah, the visuals, metaphors, Sam Jackson as narrator, Serena's cameo, it was one of my favorite halftime shows in a long time.
🤷🏻♀️ truth hurts
Performance-wise, A+.
I boycotted the Superbowl!
Absolutely loved it!!!
simple, smart, direct, proud, & very well performed. and FUN ~ mans got star power and staying power

You don't think most people know of Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Usher, or Kendrick Lamar?
Go listen to your 8-tracks of old-timey train whistles.
Like discovering a secret "second dessert" after you've just enjoyed the best gourmet meal in your life.
Tears of mediocre whiteness and MAGA rage strokes... after a masterpiece of Black excellence...
*chef's kiss*
If the world didn't know that before, they do now lol
Killing two birds with one stone
I loved seeing her reclaim it!
1. Loved it from start to finish.
2. Speechless by all the hate!
What is wrong with people?!
Because Drake is the kind of guy who opens potato chip bags with scissors…
Drake is the kind of guy who lies on his back and bicycles his legs in the air to pull his pants on…
Drake's the kind of guy that flushes a fart.
10+ years!).So I was able to appreciate parts of it live but couldn’t follow all of the lyrics. But post-game explanations & rewatching it multiple times made it more impressive.

Thank you, Gracie!

Music has lyrics composed of full sentences, with at least an ATTEMPT at rhyming, by people who can sing and carry a tune.
You asked.
Peace out.
Idea of what to expect. It was amazing. Right time,
wrong guy. 💯%.

No reason to apologize, we were both being sarcastic and missed it... By the way, I love your page!!

They thought he was a radical upstart.
Artists are not paid for their Superbowl work.
It's nice to be exposed to music that otherwise we might not be.
We've listened to Beethovan, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, etc., for hundreds of years.
Next year, maybe J'Nai Bridges could grace us with her presence.
It.
💙😎💙
The ‘04 Hall Of Fame performance… absolutely incredibly
America, you have been served.
America is not monolithic, but its diversity is not fully embraced, though it is our strength.
I think it probably depends what kind of people you’re following on social media?
But if the RWNJs hated it and somebody important felt visible and represented, I'm okay with whatever it was.
I really feel like he now uses Drake as a metaphor for all rich white men who are oppressing the country now
Utterly brilliant and historical
