The deans at WV and UNC--both public schools in states w GOP governors who have ALREADY targeted those universities--signed the letter.
Which makes the silence of the top-most law schools--almost all privates in deep blue states--all the more unacceptable.

Very proud to see Fordham’s dean on here.
Very disappointed at the schools I’m not seeing on here.
I get that they may be in a more tenuous position, but that also makes their need to stick together and fight back greater.

UWV, tho, is def in deep red territory across the board.
That's not neutrality. It's acquiescence, if not outright condonation.
I personally think there’s a sufficient hook for Law Schools as institutions to treat this as satisfying the campus nexus test. But it’s not a slam dunk
But not willing to concede "dont attack lawyers who sue the govt" is close. Neutrality has its limits.
More importantly that really really sucks about the hand. I’m sorry man : (
Should a medical or public health school be prevented from saying “vaccines are good and important”?
Thus, treatment of law firms and the legal system is NOT something institutional neutrality is about.
Private law schools don't need federal government aid much at all, do they?

Think of it this way: What makes them the “top law schools”? The fact that their graduates are in positions of power and influence. How could a system packed with their graduates collapse into fascism? Obviously it can’t! So the letter is wrong.
