Putin wants an energy/infrastructure only ceasefire. A sign that these attacks by Ukraine are having real impact and he's worried by then. Ukraine should consider rejecting Putin's selective ceasefire and get something broader than helps Ukraine.

Remember all those geniuses who were downplaying Ukrainian ranged attacks and said the US help in thjs area would not make a big difference? Seems that a Putin disagrees.
Yep. That was a *giant* pile of horse-shit every time they said it.
And it wasn't just full-of-crap 'analysts' that said it; it was also a number of the assholes in Biden's admin --throwing out every horse-shit excuse they could concoct to cover up their incredible cowardice and stupidity.
Zelensky understandably..polite.. when bungling Trump regime that accidentally fired its own nuclear weapons safety staff offered to provide similar service to power plants in Ukraine at no extra cost…
putin got the better of Trump in the negotiations.
It was sold that both sides will be pressured for an uncoditional ceasefire, but in the end we may only have an air ceasefire ?
Ukraine should announce it will be ready to implement a ceasefire in a month or two, after it finishes destroying most of Russia’s oil refining and transport infrastructure.
And after it takes down a few famous buildings in the Kremlin, with Ukraine’s new long range drones.
Ukraine quick rejection could also reveal Trump's inherent bad-faith and siding with Russia in the negotiations if he attacks Zelensky. A patient good faith 3rd party would know initial terms get rejected all of the time in these conflicts and the parties negotiate again to a second round of terms.
I find it suspicious that Trump suddenly thinks it best that Ukraines electric infrastructure is US owned. If the museums and art galleries are hit next.....
The "need to stop proliferation of strategic weapons and will engage with others to ensure the broadest possible application" comment aligns with that also.
Putin agreed to everything that gives him a form of advantage. Ukraine is hitting the russian oil industry hard. Apparently no concessions from Russia, as expected. Also victory for Trump was denied. Looking at the desparate economical situation in Russia, Putins carrot to Trump on business.
Putin's terms closely match those already advanced by Trump: No intelligence sharing, cessation of arms support to Ukraine etc. What sweet pals these two are.
Ukraine: we would support a limited ceasefire
America: proposes a total ceasefire
Ukraine: fine
russia: fuck that
America: will parrot the russian proposal
Ukraine: facepalm.jpg
This provides some common ground , UKraine has been devastated by hits on its energy infrastructure , and clearly Putin is noticing the oil refineries going up in smoke in Russia.
You need some small things to build on ..
Bullshit. russian most common targets of attacks are apartment buildings, hospitals, and schools. And they will continue to bomb those while Ukraine loses its most effective sanctions tool.
Indeed. You can't just cherry pick a ceasefire. Putin is delaying, deferring, deceiving. Europe must prepare to hit his regime hard and where it hurts. There is no just ceasefire before this point, unless the US somehow finds its way, which seems unlikely.
I have a 3-point peace plan that can be completed in one day:
#1. Russia stops bombing Ukraine.
#2. All Russian soldiers return to Russia.
#3. Russia returns all kidnapped Ukrainians to Ukraine (including children and soldiers).
Done!
Ukraine should say they agree to the ceasefire and just keep bombing the fuck out of R's energy infrastructure. And say "What? No, those weren't our drones. No idea how that happened."
Thanks. Grateful that you’re bringing common sense to this. My news is filled with people repeating what putin and trump says, instead of telling us how this will impact Ukraine
Trump is negotiating away Ukraine's military advantages and resources, while using Russian muscle to pressure Ukraine into surrendering its sovereignty. In no sense does Trump represent Ukraine, nor are his deals "peace" deals. At some point, Ukraine is going to have to tell the US where to get off.
If Ukraine's capable of ramping up production faster than Russia and Russia's consumption is higher than production/imports and its depots are depleting, Ukraine's position at least on this dimension should improve
Would you be willing to do a piece on the relative strength going forward, with scenarios? I'm curious for example what it means for defense production/purchases, energy etc. BC with a ceasefire it would also mean: how does the relative strength develop based on the conditions?
Concern there is that will be painted as Ukraine "keeping the war going", which is of course nonsense. The war ends when Russia withdraws from not-Russia.
So far this week anti-war peacemaker Trump has bombed Yemen, watched Israel bomb Gaza murdering 400 Palestinians and let Putin carry on his illegal war without penalty. 👏
All of European NATO is arming themselves to do just that. Go after Putin and stop the killing. And kidnapping of children. We should be with them. We shouldn't be working with Putin at all.

After rU you should be next in the firing line.
This agreement seems dead on arrival :-)

Maybe its time for Ukraine to - use some of RuZZias Tactics and just claiming that „Partisans“ have blown up those sites…just a thought

Read it.
Muscovy has just shown you which targets to hit.
Do empty your storage asap.
You are hurting them.
They are vulnerable.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have mentioned it.
Btw, UKR, you are doing good - they feel week already❤️
You need some small things to build on ..
That 30 day energy infrastructure ceasefire is such bullshit.
That means it won't worth shit.
Ukraine should continue and Europe should back them 100%
Putin publicly declaring that he cannot win.
Cannot.
& demanding that Russia (loser/aggressor) be given dominion over Ukraine which must be forced to "fall on it's sword"

proliferation of tactical weapons
Hmm.
Putin's cage getting a bit rattled by stuff Europe is considering
