Kemi Bad-Enough is just the latest Tory Flak jacket. The desperation of the Tories will lead to them then absorbing Reform UK and the tossers who were conned into voting those grifter Facists in.
As John Crace said, her prep for PMQs appears to be scanning the front pages of the Mail & Telegraph.
Are her advisers just letting her step on rakes every week, or do they go unheeded as Badenoch relies on her admittedly superhuman powers of assuming she's always the smartest person in the room?
Which came first the chicken or the egg? Did one of her creeps feed the story to the Mail in the first place and then they choked on their own vomit? Or did the creep read the Mail and save himself a job by just recycling it without checking?
What is it about this female black working class immigrant child of a health tourist could possibly make traditional #Conservatives want to see her do badly?
Its seems like its just to eat up the time (Till Tories get back to power) with someone who is too stupid to realise that they are being used to pass the time. She will be replaced at a future date
Yeah politicians had more of a real connection to country and people then, more loyalty....now politicians are servants to capitalism and for sale to the highest bidder.
Exactly. As with every current politician, scratch the surface to reveal the lies. Too many of our ‘leaders’ seem to be doing the bidding of external regimes - Starmer serving Netanyahu; Badenoch doing Trump; Farage clenching his cheeks on Putin’s wrist.
The danger of using Twitter, The Mail, etc, as the source for your questions without bothering to find out the truth.
I remember there were Tories salivating at the prospect of Badenoch wiping the floor with Starmer at the dispatch box.
Bad performances and bad opinion polls could finish her.
Labour should really be playing this up. They should go on about how incompetent she is about basic facts and therefore cannot be trusted to be in office etc etc
The Conservatives haven’t been a serious party for a long time.
It’s a worry, our two party system, our people and our democracy relies on strong opposition.
A government with no opposition sounds a lot like the opposite of democracy.
I feel she has setup to fail to take up the time for the next 5 years and till Tories have a chance to get back into power. Then she will be booted and replaced
Much as I utterly despise the Tories, acts of cruelty from Labour + the utter void of challenge from the Tories is just letting Reform gain ground… dare I suggest they actually need to become a force in politics again to kill off the fascist grifting company?
One of the only cruelties Starmer's committed, where he *didn't* have a choice. Shame about going full Tory except when it's time to stand up to an even worse moron.
I begin to think the level of scrutiny and challenge would be better if Starmer started attending the Youth Parliament every Wednesday.
PMQs ought to be the high point of the week for a Leader of the Opposition but even Badenoch can’t come away thinking “That went well - pleased with that”.
I don’t think PMQs has ever been the high point of the week. It’s, more often than not, theatrical if not farcical, and the average person learns virtually nothing.
I don’t know why it’s given the prominence that it is.
It is theatrical and faintly farcical, but it should be the high point for an Opposition Leader - skewering the PM on every single failure or undelivered promise, grabbing the headlines and setting the narrative, showing yourself as PM-in-waiting.
You get the distinction feeling that her "friends" who are supposed to give her good counsel are in fact setting her up for a fall. Typical Tory plotting covertly - yet again.
Weird, because I imagine a talented working class immigrant child of colour in the 1990s would have got by at school by doing other people’s homework as well as her own 🤔🤔
Refusing refugees the ability to claim citizenship.
Letting large corporations plagiarise authors and artists.
And let’s not forget deciding that gender blockers are dangerous for Trans kids but perfectly safe for early onset puberty sufferers.
No, I think cruelty comes naturally to Starmer.
It was! A great example of what happens when your argument is held together only by the most preposterous (and threadbare) tribal allegiance. Times Radio is fascinating for its now doomed, if valiant, continuing efforts to toe the conservative line.
And its best contributors are invariably ‘wokeish’ which makes listening to the station’s plight even funnier. (I’ve noticed News bulletins these days now carry most of the right wing strain.)
Badenoch is perfect. She is crumbling almost daily, just like party she leads.
BUT we need to stop thinking of the Tories as the opposition. Reform are - unfathomably - still growing in popularity and if Starmer continues to avoid doing what's right for the country, we'll end up with Farage.
Might save Badenoch if she checked her scripts for accuracy before making accusations. After all it is not the first time she has been made to look inept.
The choice of candidates in the leadership contest was really poor for conservative voters. A poisoned chalice for kemi to have won. I must admit I don't feel sorry for her though. 🌻
At this point I think the Tufton St Mafia decided they could spend a year in which they couldn't do anything to Labour's Majority, putting down the prospects of any more Women/POCs getting through to the Hot Seat by ensuring the DUMBEST Truss-a-like got a chance to self-immolate every week.
On one level it's rough seeing someone die on their feet repeatedly but equally, it's enjoyable to witness the Guidoverse bullshit being dismantled in real time.
It was fun to watch. I wonder what she thought when she went back to her office afterwards? How many people avoiding eye contact with her? Too funny......

His home just happened to be in the British Virgin Islands.
Hardly a good way to create trust and confidence!

DEI hire #EmmaBarnett (#BBC #R4Today) would be furious at their DEI scheme.
Some even returned from defeat, keeping the job longer than a single Parliament.
… but we don’t seem to have become happier, wealthier, or more relevant.
Davey? Heaven only knows, but it looks fun.

they’re nazis.
The Finland question was beyond embarrassment

Turns out, she really is that dim

Far more good work goes on in Select Committees.
Badenoch fails on every front.
Whether they told her, now, that's another question.
… or are they the ones setting her up with duff gen to make her look stupid?
Mind you, working class and never making gaffes … does she need their help?

‘Badenoch steps into the ring and punches herself in the face’
🤣

of course almost all british media are fascist
Dire.
It has always puzzled me.
Normal for a Tory.
She's one step away from 'prove me wrong! I'll wait!'
Mince

I remember his classic tweets on Operation Brock (the Dover Lorry park thing)
“The clock strikes 8. The moment this demented pantomime was meant to set off for Dover, to stress test British greatness. It is still stationary.”
