Disabled people across the country were already terrified of the impact Reeves's cuts will have on them - and now she's set to announce more? This is unconscionable. This government must change course immediately, and tax wealth to repair our broken economy.

However, I can see how they've backed themselves into this. The stance of "better to keep the US on side" means that rn they *can't* go after the wealthy because Elon. At the same time, because of Elon/US, world politics is upended & defence needs cash.
But disabled ppl? Really? 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🙄
A) Using this as a money saving exercise, not to help people to work as stated. Proved by the fact that when they were told nit wasn't saving enough money, they increased the changes to welfare again.
B) Human rights.
When was the last time Reeves delivered a credible keynote or engaged in *dialogue* etc?
Incompetent, malicious, power tripping. 🫤
She’s killing to protect the millionaires and billionaires interests.
#Unabhängigkeit
They could have chosen to use that majority to implement progressive tax policies and prioritise justice, equality and compassion.
They've chosen cruelty instead.
And I intend to continue to do just that.
(Oh, and a few points of increased blood pressure) .
Personally take something away from them.
Even then, most deep trump cult members are taught, it's ok for trump to come take their social security, house, car etc.

I fear it’ll get far far worse.
a] wealth and
b] excess wealth
just so we are all clear what exactly should or should not be taxed.
Thanks.
B. £250k+
Income? Income as single person or as a couple with 4 kids?
Savings?
Fixed Assets?
Virtual Assets [e.g. shares]?
Be precise!
Then again, the brink of economic implosion Truss took the UK to would've made definitions worthless within days.
Now watch the US...
If you really want to nail it down then say 3x the national median average. Everything above that we tax at increasing rates until it gets to 100% of anything over £250k.
You say this without knowin a single thing about circumstances or context.
You may know that across the UK we have a crisis in criminal law; we're losing junior barristers almost but not quite faster than we are qualifying them.
Explanations in under 300 characters require a certain economics which is not the financial kind.

We could define excess wealth as, say, any former Con Minister patriotically squirrelling more than 1.9 mil off shore to avoid domestic tax which they VIP lane helped themselves to from the public purse. But by the time they've shifted it to a better-hidden shell company it would be 1.3 mil.
Demanding government tax the rich is not a workable policy statement; in fact it's the worst kind of emotive crap.
If you want to tax then specify how what where and to what extent. BE PRECISE!
" ... the “deception” of Starmer, Reeves and Labour Together, a pretence at left economics which was immediately discarded when they gained power."
