I kind of gasped when I saw that first building, that brilliant blue, but I am most fascinated with that 1920s car. Am a little worried about that lady, the Isadora Duncan of it all.

I don’t, unfortunately. There are lots of permits for the addresses spanning the 1940s into the 50s for “alteration to storefront” so some sort of modernization happened fairly early on. Looking at Google Street View from 2007 shows what some of that may have looked like.
