They can go directly to your profile by copying the URL. It won't show them what your profile says or your posts, but the block button is there.

Okay thanks because I was freaked out. Right now, blocking is super important and I didn't want to find out there was a hole in the fence on this app.

Then you should know it is possible to circumvent blocks. Unless you have your preferences set to hide your content for people who aren't logged in, then blocked people can see your posts through Clearsky, and someone can build a viewer/client that ignores that setting. All the data is public.

Oh yeah, there's always a work around. I was just concerned like, does the block function literally just not work properly. It sounds like it works!

It does work, yeah.

If you decide you don't want your posts visible on ClearSky, it's under Settings - > Privacy and Security -> Logged-Out Visibility and check where it says to discourage apps from showing posts to people who aren't logged in. I had that checked until I axed Twitter for good.

Yeah, they can't even see your picture if they're just using Bluesky normally and typing in your exact @ to go find you. I've done it just to check out a couple strangers who've blocked me that I saw on Clearsky. It gives the blockee nothing.

i'm guessing they saw you were blocking them on clearsky or something and just blocked back. the profile of someone blocking you looks a lot like someone you've blocked, you just have to navigate to their page directly
