The union has asked consumers NOT to boycott, to maximize the strain on the system with them not there to run it.
Lots of complaints to Amazon that their Christmas gifts didn't arrive on time, for example, would hurt Amazon's reputation & show how much they need the workers they're screwing.

Starbucks does need to unionize but a lot of people getting their degrees for free at ASU compliments of Starbucks as well as health benefits, 401K with a generous match would lose their jobs.
Starbucks did ask the union to return to the table to negotiate and they refused.

I just got off the phone with our local chapter of the SEIU. We are going to unionize at the memory care facility where I work. When I was asked why we want to join their union, I said because we are overworked, understaffed, underpaid and management has been unresponsive to our needs.
