Absolutely banter. Teabagging is a moment of tactical vulnerability to have a laugh about your opponent and dunk on them. I remember seeing teabag piles where people would get killed on top of the person they were teabagging and the next person would do the same and get killed. Its equality.

It's rude, but I'd consider it part of the banter, especially since most games have pretty limited ways to communicate. Sometimes a player kinda deserves to be treated rudely and know that they're pissing people off. I certainly prefer teabagging to a screeching DM.

The only game I play right now where this is relevant is Elden Ring, and I think if you wanna be funny or cute, use the emotes the developers gave you; teabagging represents so much of the online gaming community I really love avoiding.

In splatoon, for instance, games are less than 10 minutes and respawn times are less than 10 seconds. If you spend 3 seconds squidbagging someone you're basically throwing away 1/3rd of the value you earned when you got them and it makes a huge difference.

It's the worst!!! 😫 especially when you're backline/support so you're supposed to be riding the tower so you can't get off and push up.

At least in that case, they're charging special, but they could probably do it faster by painting into the enemy base.
