Think every meal that does not include the death of another sentient animal is a step forward. A quick question, does the work you are doing regarding alternative proteins, include the many plant-based proteins, such as lentils, beans, tempeh, edamame?

I’m conflicted by cultivated meat.
On the one hand, if it ends animal ag sooner rather than later I’m in.
Otoh, will the cells come from exploited animals (sanctuary animals would be ideal)?
On the third hand: will investment in cultivated meat sideline precision fermentation and mainstream alts?

One biopsy is all it takes to develop a cell line that can feed the world indefinitely. I don't think you have to worry about cell sourcing if you care about animal welfare, to be honest.

There is some overlap of investors that will pick one approach vs. the other
